Bruce Houghton accepts a donation on behalf of the band

As all of you know, the Negaunee City band has been involved in an aggressive fund-raising campaign for the past year or so in an effort to build a community performance facility in the city of Negaunee.

We are pleased to acknowledge a very special and generous donation in the amount of twenty thousand dollars to the project, made on behalf of VIOLETTA'S MUSIC SUPPLY by MR. JOHN VIOLETTA who has been with the band since the late 1920's: as musician, director, and all-around band benefactor. Along with ROBERT P. HILLS, JOHN VIOLETTA initiated the first of our circus concerts eight years ago.

Violetta's Music Supply Makes a Generous Donation

Also, the Band would like to acknowledge another very special person who gave a very generous donation to the project.

SHIRLEY NORTHEY, of Negaunee, presented the Negaunee City Band with a twenty thousand dollar donation in memory of her late husband Sydney, who played trombone with the band for many years.

A very special "THANK YOU" goes out to these generous benefactors of the Negaunee Performing Artist Facility.

You contributions are Tax Deductable
